September enrichment

These sessions will be outdoors, in-person at a home near Mystic Lake in Arlington with a sizeable backyard, covered porch, and wifi. The expected schedule is Tuesdays, Sept. 8 and 15 and Fridays, Sept. 11 & 18, from 10 am to noon. An optional remote hour might be added on Wednesdays or Thursdays.

We will focus on projects that anticipate the 7th grade curriculum. Options could include:

• Illustrating ancient Greek myths
• Reporting on caste systems, ancient and modern
• Earth and human activity: forecasting catastrophic events, mitigating human impacts
• Energy transfer facts and experiments
• Debate on Covid health protocols for public gatherings
• Exercise (if outdoor in-person)
• Make suggestions!
